Today i decided to try some Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas and do a makeup tutorial to show you guys how to do it to :D
You will need :
Light Pressed or loose powder
Blush red or pink
And a Sally costume if you have one.
Firstly apply light foundation all over you face and apply light concealer over any dark circles or red spots.
Then use your blue eyeliner to draw a cat eye shape then fill in the gap.
Then apply blue eyeshadow over the eyeliner to make it last longer and look more viberant i'm using a shade from my Urban Decay palate called Painkiller.
Then line your eyes and bring it out into a small wing and draw in 3 eyelashes underneath the water line.
Then fill in your brows black with eyeshadow and then use your black eyeliner to draw a big circle around your eye.
Now draw some stitches with black eyeliner around the eye and extending the smile line.
Then apply some false eyelashes to give it an extra dolly feel.
Once you have outlined your lips with black eyeliner fill them in with red lipstick here i am using 2 different shades of red to create the perfect shade.
Now to make the face a bit more blue take a blue eyeshadow and contour the hollows of your cheeks and your nose (remember to blend)
Now draw some stitches again with black eyeliner around your neck and down your chest.
Here is the finished look with and without the wig. So i hoped you enjoyed this tutorial comment below if you want me to do more :D
Review of the MUA Matte lipsticks in shades Totally Nude and Pouty Pink.
The new Matte lipsticks cost only £1 each and i bought mine at SuperDrug and i have wanted to try matte lipsticks for a while and at £1 you can't go wrong.
The things i liked about the Matte lipsticks are they have a creamy formula so they weren't drying on the lips and they also have quiet good pigmentation i really like the colours. But i would recommend putting on some lip balm before you wear it because if you do have chapped or dry lips it will show up and not look good. I also really like the white packaging it looks very sleek and clean, it reminds me a lot of Michelle Phan's makeup EM cosmetics packaging.
The only thing i don't like about the matte lipstick is that my Totally Nude lipstick broke after only a few uses :/
Here are some pics :D
Here is what they both look like on my lips of the right is pouty pink and on the left is totally nude
Here are the swatches on my hand and here is a pic of the broken lipstick
Here is a pic of the very clean packaging i really like the white colour of it.
Review of the Makeup Academy Velvet Lip Lacquer in shades Criminal and Funk.
So I've been wanting to try these for a while now and they were finally in stock at Superdrug.
The velvet lip lacquer's are £3 each and i heard that a lot of people thought they were a good dupe for Lime Crime's Velvetines but these are a lot cheaper.
So the things i liked about both lip lacquer is that they are very pigmented, they are also fairly easy to apply but i would still be careful because it' hard to get off if you make a mistake. I really like the packaging its very pretty with the gold and black packaging and also like the Lime Crime Velvetines it has a frosty tube which is very sleek looking.
The things i don't like about the MUA lip lacquers is that they dry out your lips ALOT. Also i would recommend not to apply any kind of lip balm before you apply the lip lacquer or even after you apply it because it will look horrible and smear or flake of i know this because i tried both haha. I have tried the products out a few times and it has let me down every time even if i didn't put any lip balm on it would still flake of in about 3 minutes and if you try and re apply it only makes things worse. So overall i wouldn't re-purchase these again. But i would like to say i usually love MUA products i own a lot of there makeup and have loved it but i just really don't like the lip lacquer's.
Here are some pics :D
Here is Funk a deep pink almost red shade
Here is Criminal it is a very neon pink barbie colour shade
Here is both lip lacquers in the very pretty black and gold packaging
